David Andrés Fernández

Doctor en Historia por la Universidad de Zaragoza y Licenciado en Historia y Ciencias de la Música por la Universidad de Salamanca. En la actualidad se desempeña como académico en la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Sus investigaciones se centran principalmente en los libros procesionales medievales y el canto llano de los siglos XVI a XIX en Chile. Ha realizado estancias de investigación en Harvard University, University of Sydney, Université Sorbonne-Paris IV y el Taller de Paleografía Musical de Solesmes. Cuenta con diversas publicaciones y ha participado en congresos en Europa, América Latina, Australia y Estados Unidos.

He studied musicology at the Universidad de Salamanca and he obtained his PhD in history at the Universidad de Zaragoza. He has been recently appointed as lecturer at the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. His research interests include medieval Spanish processional plainchant and liturgical music in Chile (16th-19th centuries). He has been a visiting researcher at Harvard University, The University of Sydney, Université Sorbonne - Paris IV, and Atelier de Paléographie Musicale de Solesmes. He has published in both English and Spanish, and has also participated in conferences in Europe, Latin America, Australia and USA.

Zoila Vega Salvatierra

Es magíster en musicología por la Universidad de Chile y Doctora en Ciencias Sociales por la Universidad Nacional de San Agustín de Arequipa, en donde actualmente es catedrática de violín e investigación musical. Asimismo, es directora artística del Festival del Barroco Latinoamericano – sede Arequipa y se encuentra realizando estudios doctorales en la Facultad de Música de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Es autora de varias publicaciones sobre música arequipeña y su línea de investigación es la música surperuana entre los siglos XVI y XXI.

Holds a master's degree in musicology from the University of Chile and a PhD in Social Sciences from the National University of San Agustín de Arequipa, where she is currently a professor of violin and musical research. Likewise, she is artistic director of the Latin American Baroque Festival – Arequipa campus, and is conducting doctoral studies in the Faculty of Music of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She is the author of several publications on Arequipa music and her research line is south Peruvian music between the 16th and 21st centuries.

Luis Merino Montero

Profesor titular (Universidad de Chile), es Director de la Revista Musical Chilena, y entre 1990 y 2017 ha sido investigador responsable de once proyectos adjudicados por concurso. Ha presentado ponencias en eventos o congresos nacionales e internacionales. Es autor de dos libros publicados en Chile y de capítulos de libros editados en Chile, Alemania, España y Estados Unidos. Ha escrito más de 110 artículos publicados en revistas con comité editorial, de circulación tanto nacional como internacional, y se ha desempeñado como autor y revisor de entradas en diccionarios y enciclopedias publicados en España, Gran Bretaña y Alemania.

Full Professor (University of Chile) and Chief Editor of Revista Musical Chilena. Between 1990 and 2017 he has been in charge of eleven research projects assigned publicly by state agencies. He has read papers in events and scholarly meetings held in Chile and abroad. He is the author of two books published in Chile and of book chapters published in Chile, Germany, Spain and the United States. He has written more than 110 articles published in national and international periodicals with editorial committee. He has been editor and contributor of dictionary and encyclopedia entries published in Spain, Great Britain and Germany.

Teresa Cascudo

Professora Titular da Área de Música na Universidad de La Rioja, onde tem coordenado o Mestrado em Musicologia. Doutorou-se na Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Uma parte das suas publicações está focada em temas relacionados com a história da música em Portugal. Os seus interesses actuais são a crítica musical e as relações entre música e nacionalismo em Espanha. Preside na Sociedade Española de Musicología o grupo de trabalho “Música e Imprensa”, criado sob a sua iniciativa. Tenured Lecturer at the Universidad de La Rioja, where she has coordinated the Master’s Degree in Musicology. She received her doctorate at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and she has focused many of her publications on the relationship between music and nationalism in Portugal. Her current research agenda is also devoted to musical criticism and to nationalism and musical national identity in fin-de-siècle Spain. She coordinates at the SEdeM (Spanish Society of Musicology) the group “Música y Prensa”, which was created at her initiative. Clayton Daunis Vetromilla

Professor no Instituto Villa-Lobos da Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (RJ, 2004), tendo trabalhado anteriormente no Conservatório de Música da Universidade Federal de Pelotas (RS, 1997) e na Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (UEMG, 1996). Doutor em Música pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Música da Unirio (2011), com estágio de doutoramento (bolsa Capes – PDEE) na Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal. Possui mestrado em Música pela UFRJ (2002) e bacharelado em Violão pela UFMG (1994).

Professor at the Villa-Lobos Institute of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (RJ, 2004). He previously worked at the Conservatory of Music of the Federal University of Pelotas (RS, 1997), and the State University of Minas Gerais (UEMG, 1996). PhD in Music by Unirio's Graduate Program in Music (2011) with PhD (Capes scholarship – PDEE) at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He holds a master's degree in Music from UFRJ (2002) and a Bachelor's degree in Guitar from UFMG (1994).

Ornela Boix

Doctora en Ciencias Sociales (Universidad Nacional de La Plata, UNLP), Magíster en Ciencias Sociales (UNLP) y Licenciada en Sociología (UNLP). Becaria postdoctoral del Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET). Ayudante diplomada del Departamento de Sociología de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación, UNLP.

PhD in Social Sciences (National University of La Plata, UNLP), Master in Social Sciences (UNLP), and Graduate in Sociology (UNLP). Postdoctoral Fellow at The National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET). Teaching Assistant at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences, UNLP.
