Es académico de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción. Es licenciado en Educación Intercultural, Máster en Estudios Latinoamericanos y Doctor en Sociedades Americanas. Es investigador responsable del Proyecto Fondecyt 1180136 titulado “Awkan, Weichan, Malon: ocupación progresiva del territorio mapuche por parte del Estado de Chile (siglos XIX y XX)”. Sus investigaciones se centran en la memoria y tradición oral de la sociedad mapuche, siendo su última publicación el libro Expoliación y violación de los derechos en territorio mapunche (Ocho Libros, 2018).

Professor at the Faculty of Education, Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción. He has a Bachelor’s in Intercultural Education, a Master’s in Latin American Studies, and a PhD in American Societies. He is head researcher of the 1180136 Fondecyt Project “Awkan, Weichan, Malon: Progressive Occupation of the Mapuche Territory by the Chilean State (19th and 20th Centuries)”. His research is focused on the memory and oral tradition of the Mapuche society, being his lastest publication Pillaging and Rights Violation in Mapunche Territory (Ocho Libros, 2018).
