Doctor en Musicología por la Universidad de Valladolid y la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Su línea de investigación se relaciona con el estudio desde un enfoque dialógico y cualitativo de las dinámicas de construcción identitaria en contextos urbanos, la composición musical en el aula y las relaciones entre música e interculturalidad. Es miembro del grupo de estudio en Música y Danza de América Latina y el Caribe del International Council for Traditional Music (ICTM), y forma parte de la directiva del Comité Nacional de ICTM en Chile. Actualmente es académico del Departamento de Humanidades y Artes de la Universidad de Los Lagos.

Doctor in Musicology from the University of Valladolid and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His research studies the dynamics of identity construction in urban contexts, musical composition in the classroom, and the relationships between music and interculturality from a dialogic and qualitative approach. He is a member of the study group on Music and Dance of Latin America and the Caribbean of the International Council for Traditional Music (ICTM) and the board of directors of the ICTM National Committee in Chile. He is currently an academic in the Department of Humanities and Arts at the Universidad de Los Lagos.
