El musicólogo español Javier Albo es profesor titular de historia de la música y dirige la biblioteca musical de Georgia State University (Atlanta, E.E.U.U.) Se doctoró por la City University of New York, con la tesis Images of Chopin in the New World: Performances of Chopin’s Music in New York City, 1839-1876. Ha trabajado para RILM, la Foundation for Iberian Music (dirigida por el musicólogo Antoni Pizà) y el proyecto Music in Gotham: The New York Musical Life, 1862-1875. Es miembro de la Society for American Music, de la American Musicological Association y de la Sociedad Española de Musicología.

Javier Albo teaches music history and coordinates the Media Center of the School of Music at Georgia State University in Atlanta. He graduated from the City University of New York, with a dissertation titled Images of Chopin in the New World: Performances of Chopin’s Music in New York City, 1839-1876. Dr. Albo has worked for RILM and for the Foundation for Iberian Music and the ongoing project Music in Gotham: The New York Musical Life, 1862-1875. He is a member of the Society for American Music, the American Musicological Association, and the Sociedad Española de Musicología.
